We’re in an age that’s all about self-love and lifting each other up instead of tearing them down. But sometimes, we’re our own worst critic. Here’s how to swerve those negative thoughts and instantly feel better about yourself…
Eat
Whether it’s a green smoothie or a 12 inch pizza – food is the root of all happiness, right?
Look good, feel good
From a new pair of shoes to put the spring back in your step to that overdue haircut, sometimes you just gotta treat yoself.
Write a list
It’s easy to put things off until you’re left with a huge amount of life admin that makes you wanna . Write a list and start working your way down it. You’ll be surprised how you good you feel once you start ticking them off.
Stay connected
Friends and family are who help you get through tough times. Relationships are a two way street – so make sure you keep up to date with your nearest and dearest.
Take a break
I’m a firm believer that you should always have something to look forward to – whether it be a holiday, city break or just doing something out of your usual routine.
Start a new hobby
You’re never too old learn something new. Take on new challenges and push yourself out of your comfort zone.
Sort out your sleeping pattern
Whether it’s going to bed earlier, at a consistent time or even tracking your sleep with a sleep app – you’ll feel the benefit.
Have a digital detox
Sometimes you’ve just gotta hit ‘Do Not Disturb’ and take five. Nothing good ever came of an evening spent on social media snooping on your ex’s Insta and getting a serious case of FOMO.
