Remember that episode of Friends? The one where Ross ‘is fine’ and gets drunk on margaritas? While drinking pitchers of the stuff didn’t quite solve his love triangle scenario with Joey and Rachel, this tequila-fuelled cocktail has helped us out in many a sticky situation, which is why we hit up our friends at DesignMyNight. They’ve let us know the 10 best places to drink margaritas in London. So if you need us, you know where we’ll be…

Barrio Shoreditch

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

If you’re looking for a margarita (and a kick-ass bar) to brighten your day, look no further than Barrio Shoreditch. This East London hotspot is inspired by Latino culture, which will explain its crazy interiors; you’ll find bright pink and blue chairs in their al fresco area and a cosy caravan plonked inside. Visit here any day before 8pm and you can get their Tommy’s Margarita for just £5.50.

Tequila Mockingbird

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

With a name like Tequila Mockingbird, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that this Putney plot shakes up one of the best margaritas in South West London. The shelves are lined with exotic bottles, most of which you’ve probably never heard of before. Their classic margarita will set you back £8.50, but you can get it on a 2-4-1 offer every day between 5pm and 9pm.

BabaBoom

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

You might think kebabs are a sacred thing only to be eaten after a heavy night, but you couldn’t be more wrong. Bababoom have only gone and created a kebab brunch with bottomless frozen margaritas. Munch on veggie kebabs featuring avocado tahini and grilled cheese, or chow down a naughty Nutella dish with caramelised bananas and honeycomb while you make the most of their free-flowing pomegranate and blackcurrant margaritas.

Wahaca

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

If you can’t quite afford that dreamy beach break to Mexico, Wahaca on Charlotte Street is the next best thing. This lively joint takes up three converted Georgian townhouses and has swinging chairs hanging from the ceilings, but it’s their second floor Mezcalería cocktail bar that you want to hit; it serves a staggering range of the world’s finest mezcals. They serve four different margaritas here too, but we recommend their hibiscus option with refreshing cranberry.

The Harcourt

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

If you’re after a fiery margarita in stylish surroundings, The Harcourt should do the trick. Situated in Marylebone, this grand spot boasts an impressive Scandi menu and an equally impressive cocktail list. Their chilli cactus margarita contains red chilli infused olmeca altos plata, cactus pimento, prickly pear, red chilli and lime. Their take on the classic will set you back £10.50, but it’s made with a whole lotta love and it packs a serious punch – so definitely worth it.

El Patron

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

With its stellar menu, El Patron has every right to claim London’s tequila throne. They have everything from classic, raspberry and frozen margaritas roaming their extensive menu. They also serve burritos bursting with flavour if you feel like taking a break from sampling El Patron’s tequila tipples.

Red Dog Saloon

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

Towering burgers and meaty ribs might be what Red Dog Saloon is all about, but they’ve got a neat selection of tequilas on their menu to take the edge away from a tough day at the office. Play it safe with their classic margarita or go fruity with their strawberry option. Either way, you’re guaranteed a brilliant serve.

Three Six Six

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

Three Six Six won ‘Best Cocktail Menu in London’ in this year’s DesignMyNight Awards and rightly so. They have a menu packed with unique creations that play on your senses and like any great bar, they know how to nail their classics. The margarita isn’t listed on menu, but order the popular classic at the bar and prepare to be blown away.

Broadway House

Where To Find London’s Best Margaritas

What’s better than drinking margaritas? Drinking margaritas on a rooftop – duh. Broadway House is a beautiful four-storey private members’ club in West London and they happen to have a twin terrace perfect for catching some vitamin D. Grab one of their killer margaritas and make the most of the sun’s rays when they decide to make an appearance from behind the clouds.
