5 Places You Need To Brunch In LDN

April 23, 2017 by Zoe Williams No Comments

Brunch: it’s our fave meal of the day. Why? It’s early enough that you can order eggs without being judged and late enough that it’s more than acceptable to order a mimosa (or three.)

So it seemed only fair that we checked out London’s offering of brunch menus while we were down there for #LFW. It’s a hard life.

Here are our must-visits:

Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings

I mean, JUST LOOK AT IT. Why wouldn’t you wanna eat your Full English surrounded by plants and flowers?

April 21, 2017 by Zoe Williams No Comments

by Leighanne Bent

Remember that episode of Friends? The one where Ross ‘is fine’ and gets drunk on margaritas? While drinking pitchers of the stuff didn’t quite solve his love triangle scenario with Joey and Rachel, this tequila-fuelled cocktail has helped us out in many a sticky situation, which is why we hit up our friends at DesignMyNight. They’ve let us know the 10 best places to drink margaritas in London. So if you need us, you know where we’ll be…

Signs You Need To Cut That Friend Out Of Your Life

Why is it that so many of us treat our gal pals so differently to our S/O’s? We’re all very good at taking no nonsense from boys, yet when it comes to our best friends, why do we let certain ones walk all over us?

A friendship shouldn’t be thought of any differently, it has just as big an impact on your life as a relationship does, if not more! Just because you been friends ‘forever’ doesn’t mean you ACTUALLY have to be friends forever. If they’re bad news, cut ‘em out.

There’s no contractual agreement with friendships, no matter how bound to that person you may feel or how long you’ve been friends for. If they bring more bad than good to your life, it’s time to let go. Here’s the 13 signs you need to cut that friend out of your life…

The UK’s Weirdest Bars

April 20, 2017 by boohoo No Comments

Gone are the days of heading to a standard bar for a white wine spritzer. Theatrical cocktails can be found at every turn and there’s loads of themed bars to discover – you just gotta know where to find them. To help you on your merry way, we’ve called on our friends at DesignMyNight to handpick the weirdest bars across the UK. From drinking dens in converted toilets to wacky school-themed hangouts, this list is guaranteed to make your jaw drop.

The Schoolhouse, London

As far as weird bars go, one that resembles a school is pretty up there. The Schoolhouse in Battersea is the perfect place to drink if you’re after a trip down memory lane. It’s got just the right amount of quirk, with worn wooden tables, a used whiteboard, bookshelf wallpaper and plenty of science labels to go around. Their all-day grub is served on school dinner trays, and the menu is aptly themed with meals like The Headmaster’s Big Breakfast and The Teacher’s Conference Sharing Board stealing all the limelight. Drink-wise; they stock over 60 craft beers, but take our advice and go for the disobedient-sounding Naugh-tea Schoolgirl.

Life Lessons We’ve Learnt From SATC

April 18, 2017 by Alexandre Bram No Comments

One of the most relatable TV shows of our time is Sex and The City. Why? It was the first of its kind to discuss sex and relationships so openly, of course. Liberating amongst its female viewers – and the fellas too – it gave us a sense of realism and acceptance (with our thought process often being, “ok, so everyone discusses penis sizes over cocktails… ironically”.)
