Unknown City Breaks You Need To Know About

With Twitter and Instagram full of street style snaps from London, NY, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks, it’s not just a new wardrobe I’m craving. My feed is giving me serious wanderlust for a super-stylish city break.
Whether that means sightseeing, sipping coffee in a quaint store, or drinking cocktails in a fancy bar, my passport is itching for a trip to somewhere new.

If, like me, you’re dreaming of a city break, here are five lesser-known locations to add to your “Must Visit” list this year. #Sorrynotsorry for making those wanderlust vibes even worse!

1. Dubrovnik, Croatia

It’s one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones and is the perfect mix of history, city and beach breaks all in one – welcome to Dubrovnik. This Croatian city is seriously Insta-cool and is jam-packed with just about everything you could want from a few days R&R. I’m talking top-notch seafood restaurants, chic five-star hotels (and cute af Airbnb’s) and adventure sports a-plenty. Pass me that passport!

2. Seville, Spain

Move over Madrid. Bye bye Barcalona. If you’re looking for a Spanish city break that’s a little different, Seville should be the top of your list. And trust me, there’s more to this city than oranges. I’m talking tapas, flamenco, and seriously stunning history. Mix cute cobbled streets with fancy cocktail bars, and this is one city you’ll want to visit time and time again.

3. Copenhagen, Denmark

Another city break you need to know about is Copenhagen. The Danish capital is the perfect juxtaposition of cobbled streets and sleek buildings. And fashion lovers, Copenhagen has a thriving and up-and-coming fashion scene – perfect for a spot of shopping AND sight-seeing. Copenhagen is also home to some killer music venues – The XX recently played a sold out show here – so it’s worth visiting for a gig too!

4. Vienna, Austria

Charming, cultural and lively are just three ways you can describe Vienna. This Austrian city is perfect for a fast-paced weekend, or a slow-paced week of sightseeing. And there’s definitely enough to keep you occupied for as long as you want to stay. And if you’re a fan of a street market – let’s be honest, who isn’t?! – Vienna is THE place. Throw in some cool cafes and bars and you’re all set!

5. Reykjavik, Iceland

Finally, there’s Reykjavik in Iceland. If the cold weather is more your thing, this is the perfect city break for you. There’s the Blue Lagoon, whale watching, and you might even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights if you’re really lucky. You’ll need to pack your thermals – and hella layers – but Reykjavik is a must-do city break if you fancy something different from your sun-soaked, historical breaks.

Now, where’s my passport?!
