It’s common knowledge that it’s 100% our all-time fave chick flick, we know the quotes inside out and even 13 years later (crazy!?) we will happily watch this film on a girls night in. So when we found out it’s being made in a musical we died inside juuuuust a lil’ bit…
Yep, we are deffo NOT joking. There’s been rumours for a while but it’s now been confirmed that it is actually being made into a musical. EEEEK.
It gets even more exciting, because the musical has been written by none other than Tina Fey… we KNOW it’s gonna be incred’ now.
Entertainment Weekly, posted on Instagram giving us all the ‘deets on the show due to air next April. The only sad thing for us is that it’s showing in Washington, D.C.’s National Theatre – so you might have a bit of a long journey to get there. This is deffo one to add to the bucket list if you’re on your travels in America next year!
The roles have been announced as Kate Rockwell as Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried’s role), Taylor Louderman as leader Regina George (Rachel McAdams’ character), and Ashley Park as Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert’s role) aka THE PLASTICS. Like we could ever forget.
