Last month, we took to the beaut city of Sydney for our Australian SS16 Press Day and thought we’d do some (lots of) eating, drinking and sightseeing while we were there. ‘Cos it’d be rude not to, right? Here are some of the hot spots we’ve picked out…
Food
Aqua Dining
One of THE best views for lunch in Sydney. It looks over both Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. The menu consists of three courses and you can either pick from a starter and two main dishes or a starter, one main dish and a dessert. (Dessert for us every time – sweet or savoury….is that even a question?)
Apollo

Greek cuisine, located in the heart of the city. The must have on the menu is the saganaki cheese honey oregano- halloumi heaven!
Bills
Brunchin’ central. Located in the ever so cool Surrey Hills. Eggs royal, Benedict, scrambled, poached, you name it, Bills have it. Sit outside under the veranda or inside in a family kitchen-style atmosphere .
The Grounds Of Alexandria
Located in a picturesque organic garden with market stalls, it’s the place to go for your daily caffeine fix. The café’s specialty is coffee but it also has smashin’ stacked pancakes and a mean fry up. Oh and the best part, they have a pet pig, called Kevin who is simply ADORBS!
Henry Deans
Located at the top of Hotel Palisade it has the most amazing view over Harbour Bridge. With a sharing menu it’s a great place for lunching with a group of friends.
Drinks
Della Hyde

An underground bar that’s styled to look like a cross between the Grand Budapest Hotel and a pink boudoir. Think dressing room lights, exposed bricks and signature cocktails to die for.
Opera Bar
Most of the drinking area is located outside with heaters, a grand view of the Opera house at night with a live band. Worth a visit on the weekend as it is more lively.
Tuxedo Bar

If you like an espresso martini, here’s your spot! A dedicated espresso martini bar that’s located in an old Cadbury chocolate factory with a great atmosphere.
Sights
The intersection, Paddington

One of the best spots for shopping. It’s about 10 mins outside of the main city and has handpicked boutiques and upcoming Australian designers. It’s home to super cool brands such as Zimmermann, Bassike and Camilla.
Bondi Beach

It goes without saying that this is 100% worth a visit. Watch the surfers, sip a drink at the icebergs, which also has a swimming pool right next to the sea if you don’t fancy ridin’ the waves.
Taronga Zoo

Kangaroos and Koalas?! A must see in their homeland. Full of super cute animals, the zoo also has a fantastic view over the city – winner winner.
