With Easter around the corner, all kinds of quirky takes on the traditional choc egg have been released. And we’ve got one with a difference. Because you can now get your hands on an Easter egg made entirely of cheese. Yep. A cheese egg, which doesn’t sound appetising at first…

If choc ain’t you thing, Asda are selling what they’ve coined the ‘Cheester Egg’ from 16th March in stores and it’s the ultimate cheese experience. The half egg-shaped cheese is accompanied with mini oatcake crackers and some caramelised onion to go with. It’s made using Blacksticks Blue Cheese, and even if you don’t wanna swap your reg choc experience, you can get one in next time you’re hosting.

Matthew Hall, the Commerical Manager at Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses said:

We’re a nation of cheese fanatics, so we know consumers will love the Cheester Egg. It’s an un-expected yet delicious twist on a traditional Easter favourite, and we can’t wait for Asda customers to enjoy our handmade quality blue cheese.”
