Tell us there’s dogs somewhere and chances are we’ll drop everything to be there. So when we heard of a pop up pug event in Manchester, we kinda freaked.

The guys behind Pug Cafe, the hugely popular venue (easy to see why), are holding a ‘Year of The Dog’ pop up at the Northern Quarter’s Pen and Pencil to celebrate the Chinese New Year 🐾 And it’s expected to attract all pugs in the North West area for one day only. Sounds. Like. A. Dream.

And it’s just as much fun for the lil’ pugs. They’ll be treated like real royalty with Chinese-inspired doggy treats including delicious pupcakes, doughnuts and fortune cookies so owners are encouraged to “make sure their dogs are on treat day!”

The event will be split into slots throughout the day to give everyone a chance to party pug style. And as for the humans, there’ll be Chinese inspired treats on offer and plenty of cocktails. Open from 10-6:30pm, if you wanna get in on the hottest party in town, set an alarm for the 10th Feb at 11am when tickets go on sale.

As for prices? Pug Owners £7 each (if you bring 1 pug you are allowed 2 people at pug owner rate each) Additional Pug Owner Guests £10, Pug Lovers £14. Under 2s do not pay a booking fee. The party itself is on 4th March so check those diaries.

And even better, a percentage of each ticket goes to the Pug Cafe’s chosen charity. We’re sold. See you there!
