Yes, Valentine’s Day might be on 14th February, but let’s not forget what day comes before that: Pancake Day. If you’re over topping American-style mountains with sugar and lemon, we’ve got just the thing. DesignMyNight have uncovered seven incredible places to celebrate this glorious holiday and you’re gonna wanna visit every single one.

1. The Breakfast Club

Pizza and pancakes? The Breakfast Club have have gone all Einstein in the kitchen for Pancake Day and we’re not sure how to feel about it. Could this carb-loaded hybrid be one of the best inventions of 2018? There’s only one way to find out. Propped together with melting buffalo mozzarella cheese, spicy Nduja sausage, fresh basil, chilli and extra virgin olive oil, wear your stretchy pants to tackle this boundary-breaking stack.

2. Queen of Hoxton

The Queen of Hoxton always put on a good show for Pancake Day and this year is no exception. Scoot to the skies and snuggle up inside their giant WigWam in Shoreditch or keep toasty outside around their roaring fire pit, then make the most of their DIY pancake station that’s kitted out with sauces, spreads and sprinkles galore. If you’re looking for something a little more booze-fuelled, say no more. They have an Espresso Martini stack with your name written all over it.

3. Christopher’s

If you’re a fan of French toast, you need to visit Christopher’s on 13th February. They have recreated their famous and much-loved dessert so it takes the form of an indulgent pancake. Buttermilk French-toasted pancakes will come piled high with honeycomb pieces, honeycomb ice cream, maple syrup and a light dusting of cinnamon, with optional chocolate sauce for those not giving a damn about calories.

4. Polo Bar

‘You scream, we scream, we all scream for ice cream’. That’s gonna be the case on February 13th as Polo Bar dish out some of the coolest stacks in town. These guys have teamed up with Jude’s ice cream especially for Pancake Day. Offering three lip-smacking options to the masses, go for red velvet and cherry ripple, apple crumble and custard, or the tropical if you fancy taking your tastebuds somewhere a little more exotic than central London.

5. The Diner

If you’re the kinda gal that loves plenty of options when ordering, you need to book a table for The Diner on Pancake Day. Not only do they have Oreo pancakes with bottomless maple syrup and marshmallow fluff, but they’ve got a dribble-inducing vegan option too that comes smothered in chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries with a scoop of coconut choc-ripple ice cream for a sugary edge.

6. Joe’s Southern Table & Bar

Chicken and waffles was one of our all-time favourite dishes…until Joe’s Southern Table and Bar created this spectacular stack. On top of a bed of fluffy American-style pancakes you’ll find crispy fresh sweet-tea brined quarter Southern fried chicken drizzled with sweet Jim Beam bourbon maple syrup. They’re so good we’re actually considering petitioning to make them part of Joe’s regular menu.

7. Dirty Bones

Your mum’s crêpe-like pancakes not cutting it this year? Try Dirty Bones stacks on for size. Their offering will leave you wondering why the hell you never had their deep dish pancake before. Their double Dutch comes dressed in fresh clotted cream and blueberries, and even comes served with a silky shot of maple syrup.
