The best things in life are free, or food. So what a hero this Greggs driver was when people were stranded in the snow on the motorway and he decided to hand out snacks.
Jon, who works for Greggs was en-route to a routine drop-off on the A1 motorway when traffic stopped in the snow in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland. And instead of sitting there doing nothing, he decided to treat those stuck in the blizzard, giving out cakes, biscuits and doughnuts.
He told Heart Radio “I’ve been giving out whatever I’ve got in the back – the doughnuts, biscuits and all of that stuff. ‘I walked up and down the A1 just handing stuff out. Whatever they wanted that was on the stack, it was all free.” What. A. Hun. Basically Jon sounds like our kinda guy…
Round of applause required for the @GreggsOfficial delivery driver that sorted out free cakes for my mate and all the other poor buggers stuck in snow on the A1 today 👏👏👏 pic.twitter.com/vwLYvyfTFH
