This week, we’re crushin’ on DJ and all-round babe, Nora En Pure a.k.a Daniela.

Half Swiss and South African, she dropped her breakthrough single, Come With Me in 2013 and was the only female act to play Tomorrowland’s 3-hour Daybreak Session alongside the likes of Carl Cox. No biggie.

Here’s what went down when we grabbed five…

How did it all start for you?
I got into music production when I was studying at university, and some friends of mine had their own studio! They introduced me to electronic music production, and it didn’t take long before I was completely addicted to it. I was always musically involved, but when I realised how endless the possibilities were, I spent hours on end exploring and experimenting with it.

What does your typical day look like?
I guess there is no real “typical” day for me… it’s always different! It totally depends where I am in the world, and that’s a new country every other day. Unfortunately it doesn’t consist of much sleep, but mainly travelling and playing in different places all over the world. I have a bi-weekly Purified Radio show, and I need to dedicate a lot of time for that too!

Describe your sound in three words…
Organic, raw & emotive!

What was your most memorable gig?
I would have to say playing Coachella in April! Playing there two weekends in a row at the Yuma Tent was an experience I will never forget. The production was mind-blowing, and the crowd was really enthusiastic! I also was able to play Tomorrowland this year for the first time alongside legends like Carl Cox and Joris Voorn. Definitely moments that will be with me forever.

What did you have on your playlist growing up?
A lot of Linkin Park, Offspring and Nirvana.

What’s the last song you listened to?
Just finished working on my radio show so a lot of different new tracks, but one that stuck with me is Maya Jane Coles – Passing Me By.

If you could collab with anyone who would it be and why?
The absolute dream would be to work with someone like Hans Zimmer. He’s been an inspiration of mine for a long time now, and seeing him at Coachella this year was really amazing!

What does 2017 have in store for you?
There’s still gonna bea lot of touring including Australia, US, Europa and Asia briefly. This year was pretty amazing with huge shows, incredible festivals and a really good response on releases. However the studio time came maybe a little short this year and I hope to have more time for that again. I’m sure 2018 will continue just as amazing!

What advice would you give anyone wanting to get into music?
It’s probably never been as easy to get into the music business as right now. But at the same time there are so many people trying that, that you really have to stand out. So make sure you express yourself as a credible artist, find your style that you really believe in and show only your best tracks to a label. Be consistent & patient.
