We love to travel and earlier in the week we packed our cases and headed to Lisbon to shoot our French summer campaign with 3 mega babes, Freddie Harrel, Sananas and Aliyya.
Here’s what our International Content Assistant, Hannah, got up to…
It was your first time in Lisbon, what did you like the most?
Lisbon is beautiful. It’s full of cobbled streets and colorful houses. The old school trams were cute and the vibe was so upbeat, I love that about cities. Can I mention the weather too?! It would be impossible to pick one thing!
Tell us about your job role…
I look after content for France, so I oversee all of the social media activity along with briefing email and website content. I love working on France as I get to travel and Paris never gets old.
Describe a typical shoot day…
We get up super early and prep our base ready for hair and make-up.
We’ll start gathering content as soon as we get up but the priority for the morning is making sure the bloggers are on time and fed ready to start the shoot! We only had 1 make-up artist on set who was doing hair too (eeek) so it was a busy morning trying to stick to schedule.
The first looks our photographer shoots are always the hardest as everyone is still coming out of their shells and warming up, so we usually save our fave looks to shoot second when everyone is more relaxed. There is a lot of waiting around, outfit changes (in our glam portable changing room!) and a lot of kit to carry – it’s great fun but not it’s not a holiday like people can think.
You’ll find me running around with my phone snapping social content and making sure the bloggers are happy and representing the brand.
We wrap up around 6 and head out for a large glass of wine, bliss!
Tell us about the trends…
We covered different looks for the trends holiday, festival and going out. I don’t want to give too much away, but I’m definitely buying all of the holiday outfits!
What were the bloggers like?
Uhhmazing! We shot with Freddie Harrel and Sana (Sananas) two completely different but infectious characters. They were so much fun to work with and Freddie taught us some of her dance moves, – the girls got moves!
We had a competition winner with us too called Aliyya who we photographed alongside the bloggers, she was so cool and super sweet, definitely a natural behind the camera.
We wanted to find someone who represented our consumers in France and become a real boohoo ambassador. As we put the customer at the heart of what we do it was great to provide Aliyya with a 360 boohoo experience in front of and behind the camera.
What’s the biggest challenge on shoot day?
It’s really important to stay on schedule as the sun moves so quickly. We find ourselves racing the light about at different locations.
What are your 3 survival tips for shoot day?
Sleep, water and wifi!
Your favorite product was…..
It has to be the tropical print shorts that Freddie rocked… and the striped jumpsuit too!
