We know how daunting assessment centres can be – so we’ve decided to help you crack the code to success!

Learn as much as possible about the company and the role – this is important as it will show how you have taken the time to understand the role you envision yourself in.

Don’t dress like you’ve just rolled out of bed! And ensure to take a positive approach with everything that is asked of you.

Make sure that you bring everything with you that you will need such as presentation tasks, identification or paperwork that may have been requested.

Try to convey leadership values but be careful as there is a fine line between demonstrating leadership skills and being bossy. Collaborative efforts and good listening skills are a must!

Polish up your interview skills and practice answering questions with someone prior to the day, whether that’s a friend that is already employed or your mum!

Remember the STAR method :

S – Situation (setting the scene)

T – Task (specifics of what’s required, when, where, who)

A – Action (what you did, skills used, behaviours, characteristics)

R – Result (outcome, what happened?)

What do you want to know about the job, company and culture?

And remember…

Just be yourself!
