Samuel Johnson once said that ‘when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life’, and we couldn’t agree more. The capital is a hotbed for the weird, the wild, and the wonderful; and to keep your appetite for living in London alive and kicking, we got in touch with DesignMyNight. From a massive festival housing 25 of London’s best bars to bottomless mimosas on a floating barge, there’s plenty to ways to live your best life in London this April.

1. Experience Cocktails in the City – London

25 of London’s best bars under one roof? It’s happening. Cocktails in the City is back this April and they’re taking over One Marylebone for three days of non-stop mixology. From Cahoots and Little Bat, to The Artesian Bar and London Cocktail Club, you’ll be sipping limited edition tipples from the capital’s top bartenders, and to mix it up (yes, that pun was intended) they’ve recruited some international bars to take part too.

2. Drink Champagne Aboard Alfred Le Roy – London

We never thought it would happen, but winter has finally come to an end. To celebrate, we suggest hopping aboard the Alfred Le Roy. This boat canal cruise will take you down the River Lea for three hours, with an upbeat playlist booming in the background. Offering everything from flutes of Champagne to five hand-crafted cocktails, it’s the perfect way to toast to the arrival of long-awaited spring.

3. Check Out Little Nan’s New Home – London

Home to all things kitsch, Little Nan’s is bringing its kooky nature to Fitzrovia this April, and we’re bloody delighted. Brewing signature teapot cocktails like it’s nobody’s business, they will be hosting everything from afternoon tea to bottomless boozy brunch. The fun doesn’t stop there though – split into three different zones, there’s a Little Nan’s dress up room to be silly and take snaps in.

4. Eat Your Weight in Cheese – London

A chance to win your weight in cheese? That’s just one of the reasons to attend The Rascals Cheese Night. This dreamy event will see you stuffing your face with two cheesy courses, washing it all down with a complimentary glass of wine, and taking part in a DIY mozzarella masterclass. There will, of course, be entertainment from Mary Camemberry who will be on hand with games, entertainment and prizes.

5. Order From the World’s Largest Espresso Martini Menu – London

If your go-to cocktail on a night out is an espresso martini, boy do we have some news for you. The world’s largest espresso martini menu is coming to London and it’s got no less than 20 different types. They’ve even gone as far to pick glassware that ensures your tipple is at the optimum temperature when you’re drinking it. If that’s not dedication to the cause – we don’t know what is.

6. Up Your Insta Game at Dalloway Terrace – London

We’re all guilty of going somewhere just because of the Insta opportunity, but if you visit one place for the ‘gram this month, let it be Dalloway Terrace. This alfresco terrace has been given a mighty makeover with blooming yellow sunflowers, pink zinnias and purple lavender. Dotted with giant bumble bees for an authentic English countryside-feel, you’ll be busy as a bee snapping pics.

7. Go to a Summer Day and Night Rooftop Party – London

Take your weekend shenanigans to the next level on 21st April and grab a ticket to the Summer Day and Night Rooftop Party at The Prince of Wales. Back for its 5th year, this epic party will see you dancing well past sunset over two open air spaces. There will be a rum shack cocktail bar on site and a main club room if you feel like taking your antics indoors.

8. Learn How to Make Incredible Pizza – London

Ever tried to make your own pizza at home? There’s a lot more to it than impressive rolling skills. If you wanna learn all the tips and tricks to making the perfect pizza, grab a ticket to Pizza Pilgrims Dough It Yourself Pizza Party. Across their two-hour session, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of prosecco and friggitoria (that’s Neapolitan street food), before getting your hands and aprons dirty. When your dough comes out of the oven, you’ll get to eat your own creation and boast about it to anyone who’ll listen afterwards.

9. Drink Bottomless Cocktails at Margarita Rumble – London

15 of the best bars in London are sending their leading mixologists out to win the title of ‘best margarita in London’ this April, and you’re going to be on the judging panel. Promising two hours of bottomless cocktails, you’ll be sipping creations from the likes of Simmons, Barrio Bars and Benito’s Hat, to decide what tipple trumps all.

10. Have Brunch and Mimosas on a Floating Restaurant – London

If there’s one thing we love more than life itself, it’s brunch – bottomless brunch. Darcie & May Green have set up shop on a boutique barge along one of London’s canals and they’re dishing out a cracking selection of Aussie-inspired dishes. Although they do lunch and dinner, you can’t miss out on their bottomless brunch. It includes endless mimosas for two hours and flavour-packed dishes that skip away from the usual offering of eggs benedict and pancakes.
