Okay, okay, we’re STILL celebrating Leo’s win, but aside from that, let’s get focused on the fashion. The gowns we can’t get enough of, the get ups that have us going ‘huh?’ and everything else in between, it’s been another glorious year…
Alicia Vikander
Louis Vuitton
One of the most talked about dresses from the night. Not only did Alicia scoop ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her role opposite Eddie Redmayne in The Danish Girl, but countless people across the world compared her yellow gown to that of Disney’s Belle, whilst some noted it similar to Cheryl’s Brit look from last week. Either way, it got us talking so it did its job!
Jennifer Lawrence
Louis Vuitton
Whilst J-Law had no Joy when it came to her Oscar nomination, we love her lingerie inspired Dior gown and stripped back hair and make-up. Sure there were no falls or drunk speeches from our Jen, but from the past three years she’s been a style chameleon that we can always count on to pull it out of the bag.
Naomi Watts
Armani Prive
Head-to-toe sequins shouldn’t work but Naomi proves it damn well can. In a striking blue and purple strapless number, it accentuates her killer bod and finished off with a statement necklace and bold lip – it’s everything an award show look should be.
Heidi Klum
Marchesa
The iconic model can usually do no wrong in our eyes but we’re not completely sure on her purple chiffon number she rocked on the red carpet. From cut-outs to corsages and a lot of fabric, it’s a bit too much and masks what an epic bod the Aussie babe has.
Cate Blanchett
Armani Prive
Another win for Armani Prive was Cate Blanchett’s mint marvel, showing how TO do 3D florals at the Oscars. Just the right amount of train, a beautiful fit and flattering neckline, whilst she didn’t win her nominated ‘Best Actress’ title, she’s winning in our style stakes this year.
Also we’re just gonna put it out there: she’s 46 and looks IN.CRED.IBLE.
Brie Larson
Gucci
Brie brought her ultimate style game and blew everyone out of the water in her amazing Gucci gown. From cascading ruffles to a delicate neckline and the most statement belt we’ve seen in a while, we applaud you. Not forgetting your Oscar win for ‘Best Actress’ in Room, for which we also applaud you – basically all of the applause…
