This week we’re catching up with Ziggy, from our Ecommerce team based in Manchester. We get the 411 on what an average day looks like as a Visual Merchandiser.

My alarm goes off at…

7.20am… lies… I hit snooze for those precious extra 9 minutes so …7.29am

I start my day by…

Picking my outfit for the day – trainers first! Then work around them! Then get ready and head to work.

I’m responsible for…

Visually merchandising clothing and accessories for different categories across the UK website.

The best thing about my job is…

The team I work with!

My day in three words…

Hard work and laughter.

My fave work memory is…

Every time the work girls get together for a well-deserved night out. Whether that means a meal or going to a friend’s house. We have pizza and do each other’s nails ☺

Advice I’d give to someone getting in this industry

It’s not easy but if you work your arse off and keep trying, you’ll eventually get there!

An average day goes a lil’ like this…

9am

Breakfast time!

Looking at yesterday’s sales to see how the merched products did the day before.

11am

Looking at sales, analytics and competitors to make a new merch for the next day that looks fresh and on trend.

1pm

Lunchtime!

A vital part of the day where we all look at what the other is eating and ooooo and ahhh on how tasty everyone’s food looks.

3pm

Carry on with the merches from the morning and look at the brand new products coming in that day ready to be merched up for customers to see later on.

5pm

Have yet another conversation about food in the office usually starting with “oooo so what are you having for dinner when you get home” … and obviously finishing of the merches that you started earlier.
