Rooftop season is finally here. To ensure you get your fill of vitamin D this summer, we got in touch with DesignMyNight for the lowdown on London’s best sky-high hangouts. Whether you’re doing a spot of flamingo watching at The Roof Gardens or sipping G&T cocktails at London’s hottest hangout, Aviary; these spots are sure to make you feel on top of the world.
There are two months, every year, where the abstinence of booze is encouraged, and October happens to be one of them. If you’re doing Go Sober For October and need a pick-me-up (that isn’t a sad-looking glass of orange and passionfruit-flavoured J20) – you’re in luck. DesignMyNight have tried and tested a plethora of mocktails across the capital to bring us the best ten in town. From Harry Potter-inspired Butterscotch Brew to luxury mixes topped with gold leaves, you’ll ditch booze for good when you try these alcohol-free mixes.
Winter is coming. And we don’t mean it in the Game of Thrones sense – we mean it in the literal sense, that winter is actually coming, and hugging a hot water bottle at night in the place of a person just won’t do. Whether you’ve got something long term going on, or you’re starting off an epic journey of love – first stop being Tinder – here are London’s best date night bars to help you on your way.
London Fashion Week is here, and if you were wondering where the best places to hangout were – don’t worry your pretty little head, ‘cause we got in touch with DesignMyNight for the scoop on London’s most stylish bars. With rooftop views and ‘Press for Champagne’ buttons, anyone that’s anyone will be seen cavorting at these seven hotspots from the 15th (and that includes you too.)
We’re almost halfway through the year, which means summer is coming – and rooftop bars are the place to be. With so many amazing ones to visit around the world, you should definitely get these on your bucket list…
Gone are the days of heading to a standard bar for a white wine spritzer. Theatrical cocktails can be found at every turn and there’s loads of themed bars to discover – you just gotta know where to find them. To help you on your merry way, we’ve called on our friends at DesignMyNight to handpick the weirdest bars across the UK. From drinking dens in converted toilets to wacky school-themed hangouts, this list is guaranteed to make your jaw drop.
As far as weird bars go, one that resembles a school is pretty up there. The Schoolhouse in Battersea is the perfect place to drink if you’re after a trip down memory lane. It’s got just the right amount of quirk, with worn wooden tables, a used whiteboard, bookshelf wallpaper and plenty of science labels to go around. Their all-day grub is served on school dinner trays, and the menu is aptly themed with meals like The Headmaster’s Big Breakfast and The Teacher’s Conference Sharing Board stealing all the limelight. Drink-wise; they stock over 60 craft beers, but take our advice and go for the disobedient-sounding Naugh-tea Schoolgirl.
