They’re the dancehall duo who you might recognise as X Factor 2015 runners up. Yep, it’s Reggie & Bollie. Their new single, On The Floor, featuring Beenie Man is out now and their album, Uncommon Favours is out on the 15th December.

Here’s what went down when we grabbed five…

How did it all start for you?
It goes back to over a decade ago in Ghana where we both had very successful careers as solo artists. Bollie had a major hit song titled Kiss Your Bride which to this date people still sing and Reggie had also a series of hit songs that won him Best Music for National Development in 2011. Our success in the U.K. came from our appearance on X Factor in 2015 which completely changed our lives.

What does your typical day look like?
A typical day for us is very busy – we usually have with meetings with our team to plan activities and different business ventures. We also run our own record label FROD MUSICand are Tourism Ambassadors for Ghana. We’re also in the studio a lot and on the road performing around the country.

Authentic, Positive and Multicultural

What was your most memorable gig?
We’ve been blessed to have had so many but the most memorable one was the televised New Year Eve performance in Malta.

What did you have on your playlist growing up?
Reggie: Beenie Man, Wyclef and Shaggy
Bollie: Shabba Ranks, Chaka Demus and Pliers and R. Kelly .You can tell where we got our Dancehall vibes influence lol

Reggie: Jay-Z

If you could collab with anyone who would it be and why?
Most definitely DJ Khaled. We love his style and unique way of bringing out the best in every artist he works with his production.

What does 2018 have in store for you?
We’re planning a tour and few other exciting things in the pipeline. We’ll still be promoting our Album “Uncommon Favours” which is being released on the 15th December. Pre-order it here.

What advice would you give anyone wanting to get into music?
It is not as easy as it seems and requires hard work, motivation, passion and emotional strength.
