Celeb diets have always been considered extreme with actresses and actors often going on intense diets to change the way they look for their roles. Females especially have also always felt the pressure to have the ‘perfect’ body, especially after having children. So what are their secrets?

Insane Celeb Diets (Not To Try!)

Actresses like Anne Hathaway, Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman have always kept quiet on how they lost their weight for their roles in Les Miserables and The Black Swan – aware that the awful stigma around weight may affect fans in a negative way. It’s not only actresses that have to drop the pounds though, 50 Cent and Christian Bale have also been seen to drop to unsightly weights for roles in the past.

So let’s have a look at some of the most insane diets (that we won’t be trying anytime soon!)

The Baby Food Diet

Cheryl Cole, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are all big fans. So what’s the big deal? You eat 14 portions of baby food a day and one adult meal of lean meat or fish. People have been known to lose 7lbs in a week but would you really put yourselves through eating mush for that?!

The Werewolf Diet – a.k.a The Luna Diet

Demi Moore and Madonna swear by it. Basically, it’s 24 hours of nothing but water or juice during a full moon and new moon phases. Apparently this lil’ diet can help you lose 6 pounds overnight… we don’t buy it. Most of this would be water weight – something you are bound to put straight back on!

The Fruit Diet

Ashton Kutcher is a known culprit for this fad where you basically eat nothing but fruit and are meant to lose ten pounds in a week should you stick to it!

The Raw Diet

Marilyn Manson swears by it. Staples are raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and sprouted grains. People mainly do this as a lifestyle change and cut out junk food and alcohol, too. Just one question – WHERE’S THE PROSECCO?!

And if, like us, these diets aren’t tickling your pickle, we recommend sticking to your 5-a-day, drink as much water as possible, get enough exercise but never cut out the fun… a glass of prosecco a day keeps the doctor away after all, right?!
