Sunday, June 4th. Graduate fashion week 201 landed in London this week and the standard has never been higher.
Junior designers from all over the country came together for four days to showcase their work in front of a panel of judges and an eager audience of hundreds. boohoo had the privilege to sit FROW and witness all of the hard work the graduates have put into their stunning collections.
Day one saw the catwalk open to junior designers from Sheffield, Sussex, Salford, Edinburgh, Northumbria and East London. Every area of the fashion spectrum was featured from crazy metallic monochrome to Athenian roman elegance. Our highlight from day one has got to be from the graduates at Salford University. They effortlessly revealed an inspiring collection of abstract fabrics, patterns and textures. The menswear was strong and wearable, and they even featured some kidswear adorned with helium balloons. The crowd’s response spoke volumes.
The boohoo stand was as popular as ever, with this being our second appearance at Graduate Fashion Week. The customisation desk of our ‘You Got This Girl’ tote bags was an absolute hit with glitter pens and badges galore! The boohoo team were also on hand all day to help all questions and offer advice to our new graduates entering the fashion world.
It was an absolute great first day opening Graduate Fashion Week 2017, we certainly cannot wait to see more throughout the week!
