The Blitz Party New Year’s Eve Special – London

Forget Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, this New Year’s Eve bash is stuck firmly in the 1940s. Organised by Bourne and Hollingsworth – the same group behind the gorgeous floral restaurant – The Blitz Party goes all out with its end-of-war theme, from sandbags through to ration books in place of menus. Guests are expected to get stuck in with a strict dress code that encompasses soldiers’ uniform, swing dresses and victory rolls. Once you’re dressed up, find the party bunker for a night of dance classes, big bands and confetti cannons.

Cahoots’ Vintage New Year’s Knees-Up – London

Another spot that’s embracing the 1940s theme is Cahoots, and if you’ve ever been lucky enough to get a seat in the secret Soho bar, you will know the effort these guys put in. Tucked away in a basement, the bar is modelled on a tube station, complete with a ticket hall, carriage and newspapers from the era. Unlike your morning commute, this party is going to be all sorts of fun; from a Moët & Chandon Champagne and canapé reception through to bottomless Belvedere cocktails and entertainment in the form of Hotsie Totsies.

New Year at The Mansion – London

Like the house party you wish you could have, The Mansion is a pop-up events company that blows the budget for you. Forget scrubbing red-wine stains out of the carpet, this event take over a unique and multi-room venue for a night that includes DJs, musicians, artists and entertainers. Things are being kept pretty hush hush with the location revealed 48 hours before go-time. We can let you in on a few secrets: the dress code is pink, DJs include Amin Sane, Fabrizia and Joffrey Bogart, and Club Mob will be showing off their racy fire skills.

New Year’s Eve at The Yacht – London

Make sure your start to 2018 goes off with a formidable bang as The Yacht invites you onboard for an evening of wining, dining and first-class views of the iconic London firework show. One for the bucket-list, the boat is docked on Embankment and is blowing you away long before midnight; start with a Champagne reception and canapés on the top deck before moving down to the restaurant for six courses, all matched with wine. The bar is open all night and when you’re done feasting, a live band will tootle you into the New Year.

New Year’s Eve at Rumpus Room – London

Beautiful both inside and out, Rumpus Room is a gorgeous American jazz bar with views over the Thames; think sea-blue velvet armchairs, floor-to-ceiling windows and lots of leafy foliage. For their final 2017 hurrah, the bar is keeping things classy; head to the 12th floor of the Mondrian on Southbank for a night of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvee Champagne, an open bar, a five-piece band, DJs, and views of the fireworks come the clock stroke.

A Cuban New Year’s Eve at Swift – London

Soho has long been considered as the party capital of London and Swift is making sure they uphold that reputation this New Year’s Eve. The golden, gilded and seductive joint is whizzing you far from the British winter with a scorching Cuban-themed bash. Inspired by the streets of Havana, the night is in conjunction with Laurent Perrier Champagne and Havana Club rum. What does that mean for you? Glasses of bubbly, bottomless rum cocktails, afro-Cuban jazz music, and a sunny start to 2018.

New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball – Brighton

Olivia’s Townhouse is The Arcadian’s newest recruit, but certainly not their shyest. For New Year’s Eve, the new club are bringing F. Scott Fitzgerald’s infamous story to Birmingham, in gloriously decadent 1920s style. In a bash that would make Gatsby blush, the club will be hosting indoor fireworks, Champagne, live music and all manner of performers. Dig out your flapper dresses, pearls and sharpest suits, Gatsby’s throwing a party and you’re all invited.

Party Like It’s 1997 – Manchester

Bring back the days of scrunchies, Spice Girls and neon colours with All Star Lanes in Manchester as they celebrate all that was great in 1997. Along with non-stop Britpop and plenty of glowsticks to wave in the air like you just don’t care, the spot will be letting you loose on their bowling lanes. If you’re feeling flush, upgrade your ticket to a dining option with a choice between two or three courses of their American big eats, which includes wine and beer.

Club Noir New Year’s Eve – Glasgow

It’s with a hint of sadness that we enter 2018 in Glasgow as Club Noir host their last ever party. The burlesque and cabaret club has set pulses racing for the last 13 years and for their final foray are recreating the seriously saucy Moulin Rouge. Head over to O2 ABC to see striptease, aerial acts and all manner of naughtiness; it’s not just the performers, ticket-holders are encouraged to dress up in seductive garms and join in with the fun.
