Ditch the summer hol plans gals, because if Hogwarts is your second home, we’ve got something for you. In August, a Harry Potter summer cruise is coming to London. And it sounds out of this wizarding world.
Kicking off from August 5th to the 11th and again on August 19th to the 25th – lucky fans will have a summer to remember as the cruise takes them on a six day tour of some of the most major filming locations of the huge franchise including Privet Drive and the Great Hall.
Barge Lady Cruises, the American company behind the idea will commence the magical fun from the Hotel Stafford in London with an elegant Afternoon Tea before leading onto a visit to the regal Hampton Court where you’ll get to check out the grounds and indulge in cocktails and a gourmet dinner. Sounds sweeeet.
Also on the agenda is a trip to Windsor, home to Virginia Water, the lake where Harry meets Buckbeak in the Prisoner of Azkaban and a cheeky stop at Windsor Castle, among many other stop offs along the trip. Think. Of. The. ‘Grams. You’ll see what locations inspired the Great Hall and the real life set of Privet Drive. Address brag much or whaaaaaaat.
And if that wasn’t enough, you’ll round it up with a trip to the Warner Bros Studio Tour so you can graduate to full scale wizard at the end. Quidditch come at me. The catch? Magic don’t come cheap. Single tickets start from just over £1,000 and if you’re feeling flash and wanna hire the entire boat for you and your squad, get saving because that’ll cost you over £25,000. Anyone got a spare cash potion lying around?
