As we begin to settle into the new year let’s look ahead to a few of the strange (and iconic) birthdays we’ll be celebrating in 2017!

1. The High Five turns 40

For 40 years we’ve been slapping another person’s palm to show encouragement and celebration. Your girlfriend gets that cute guy’s phone number *high five*. Realizing your ex never changed his Netflix password *high five*

2. Big Mac turns 50

Arguably the most famous burger on the planet. I can’t imagine a world where a drunken night out doesn’t end in a trip to McDonald’s to devour a Big Mac (and immediately regretting it the morning after).

3. The Britney Breakdown turns 10

Girl has a come a LONG way since those dark days in 2007. Brit has made the ultimate comeback. It’s true what they say, if you can’t handle me at my 2007 Britney then you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Britney.

4. iPhone turns 10

Truly the most iconic birthday being celebrated in 2017. The iPhone has revolutionized the way we communicate and spend our time. If the iPhone was never invented we likely wouldn’t have Instagram, Snapchat or the poop emoji!
