This week marks the 15 year anniversary of I’m A Slave 4 U hitting the airwaves (and our Walkmans) and nine years since the infamous ‘If Britney survived 2007 you can handle today’ episode when she buzz cut her hair in Esther’s Haircutting Studio in California. So I thought we should take some time out to appreciate the life of the one and only Ms. Spears…
It’s been a long and hard road for Brit since her Disney club days, shooting to fame at just 17 clad in ab-exposing school uniform singing Hit Me Baby One More Time. Enter a new army of tweenie girls (and boys) who religiously learned every dance routine to perform at any given opportunity (luckily for us, these moves were printed in the single sleeve).
Fast-forward to her ‘Golden Years’, as Oops I Did It Again smashes the charts and a worldwide shortage of red PU/spandex becomes a real thing. We all have a fave Britney moment, so what better when than getting the Stylefix girls to tell me their best bits.
I don’t have a red book but Britney, This Is Your Life…

My personal highlight is from the early Britney era when she released Sometimes. I mean, who didn’t want a pair of bright white cargo pants? I remember my brother and I copying the moves (which came with the CD = win) and performing them in our kitchen when we were about 8 years old. Cool kids never die…
Ever wondered what it’s like to work at boohoo? Get the low-down from our marketing interns, Ella and Cate…
Valentine’s Day is just round the corner which means so is the unnecessary pressure of finding a date. It’s not like you’re overly fussed about the date itself – but you wouldn’t mind saving face, or even just looking busy on Insta when it seems the majority of your feed is swimming in snaps of ‘the boy did good’.
Calling out to all solo flyers, there are plenty of reasons to enjoy Valentine’s Day when you’re not coupled up – and they have sweet FA to do with flowers…
1. Your bank account won’t take a hit, which means you can spend your money on someone who is more than worth it. YOU.

Single or in a relationship this Valentine’s Day, here at boohoo we don’t need a boy or a dedicated day to treat ourselves. Justin Bieber is right, you SHOULD go and love yourself… Whether you’re being wined and dined or out with your girl squad it really is time to forget the flowers and chocolate.

OK, so it’s no secret I’m single. In fact to steal quote Bridget Jones, I’m an actual love pariah. As I have nobody to receive a gift from, I’m hoping Saint Valentine will take pity on my sassy single ass and bring be someone to (Netflix and) Chill with. There’s only one dude for me RN and that’s Tattoo Fixer’s Sketch. From his sexy South London accent to his mad inking skills, the man is delicious. I am actually considering apply for a cover up so I can drool over him IRL.
I’ll be getting myself the boohoo heart placement tee that I’d wear tucked into skinny high waist jeans and team with a beanie, chunky boots and loads of jewellery for a laid back date with my Sketchy. Yeah OK, he has a wife and a family and I’m no homewrecker, but a girl can dream right?

Oh hey Nineties, we missed you. Of course you’ll flirt with other decades (clever girls keep their options open) but the message is clear: old school RULES OK!
While there’s always room in the wardrobe for a little grunge, the new Nineties trend is more Calvin Klein fresh than Cobain’s unkempt. Think Cool Britannia when everything from models and bands to footballers and artists were given superstar status.
The tailoring trend is nothing new but we’re going for a suit reboot in super smart versions of the styles that you’re already crushin’ on!

Blubbing over your cup of tea as you remember all those Little Things? The crinkles by Harry’s eyes when he smiles, the sound of their voices on tape. Don’t feel alone, we’re right there with you!
“You and me got a whole lot of history. So don’t let it go, we can make some more, we can live forever!”
