214 Bermondsey, located just a short distance walk from London Bridge Station, is a secret speakeasy bar that is a great retreat from the busy streets above. 214 Bermondsey specialises in Gin cocktails and the basement bar pays tribute to one of the country's most iconic spirits.
The bar is located beneath Italian comfort-food restaurant, Antico, and harkens back to the illustrious trading history of the outskirts of London. In the dim lighting of the bar, the decor is befitting of the urban-chic theme with reclaimed brickwork, wood panelling and red leather bar stools. 214 Bermondsey is the ideal place for any gin fan whether its gin cocktail, G+Ts or (for the more seasoned drinker) martinis; with over 80 different types of gin and a varied combination of old, new and signature gin cocktails.
Experiment with a "Gin Flight" - a blind test - which will test your tastebuds and you can find out which gin really is your favourite! Or you can try their very own tonic BTW - now that's dedication! All food and bar snacks are from the restaurant upstairs and range from interesting tastes like chilli broad beans to a larger dish of monkfish. Intimate date nights and chilled meet ups with friends are all well catered to in this cool bar.

As the gin lover that I am...this is obviously a haven for me and my bf (whose equally addicted to gin)! Such a cosy little venue with some great nibbles and great music...with of course the best Gin cocktails in the world. The even teach you stuff about gin you never knew. Such a friendly bar manager! Well worth the potential detour!
