Description

Queen of Hoxton is a top Shoreditch bar and club with regular live music and DJ acts from cutting edge labels. The ground floor showcases an intricate blend of window etchings, graffiti, ivy and a landscape of benches, with a large bar that is happy to serve up tasty cocktails, thirst-quenching lagers and ales on tap and a selection of wines. Hip Shoreditch kids lounge on the big sofas and groups of friends enjoy the buzzy atmosphere with fun to be had in the games room with pinball and table football.

The Queen's alter ego appears in the basement bar, dark and a little twisted; a youth club for the adults of the east side with lazers, smoke and a booming Funktion One sound system. This fantastic London club space hosts top DJs Thursday to Saturday where you can get your sweaty London rave fix. The venue also boasts a top rooftop bar with  a garden, kitchen and BBQ for those who love alfresco drinks with stunning views of London.

Be sure to check out Queen of Hoxton's hugely popular Summer Rooftop, where you'll find all sorts of fantastical pop-up events, drinks and dinner available throughout the summer until October 2017.

After being told by a friend that I “just had to go”, I found myself sauntering down to Queen of Hoxton, a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street on Curtain Road– for a Friday night of enjoying the views over East London. The...

Rooftop is what this place is about. Love it. Great spot on a summer evening. Gets super packed but still a good spot to hang out.

This is the place to be on a sunny evening in London! Great rooftop area, relatively good priced food and drinks and a fab atmosphere! Will definitely be back as the weather continues to improve!

A group of us attended this venue and were having a good time, but the attitude of the staff regarding two serious matter, albeit one more serious than the other has put us off ever attending it or recommending it again, which is a pity. 1) When asked if they have disabled access to the roof, they said they did not. Upon talking to the staff in the actual bar, they informed us there are lifts, but only for the staff. How are you happy to alienate people with disabilities from accessing, the main draw of your venue - the roof bar and tent? 2) We were removed from the venue, when a candle began to flare too high. It was coming towards our faces. We attempted to blow on the candle, a natural human reaction when in a split second a flame is headed to your face. The candle did a 'mini explosion' and it went out. Our faces were hit by this flame, no one else. Automatically a short security man appeared out of nowhere and blamed us for the negligence of their own fire safety and we had to leave the venue, in front of all other patrons. When trying to explain the situation, the short security man refused to acknowledge that when a flame comes towards your face, you have a split second to react and blowing on it, is pretty normal. He assumed there was enough time for us to locate a security member...to come and blow it out. Pretty ridiculous. So the venue put unsafe candles on logs, we tried to contain an unruly flame and the short security man throws us out and there is no apology. We made our complaints respectably but received no respect in return. It's not loss to not attend this venue again, but perhaps for the safety of future patrons they could look into sorting out the candles and hiring a security team that isn't delusional whilst on the job.

Great spot with an amazing outside terrace. It has such a great selection of music and is a fun club to go to over the weekend. It also is split over three floors with different music on offer.

Cozy rooftop with delicious drinks. Downstairs chilled party mood. Very good for pre drinks with larger groups, or just a chilled night out without club pressure. I will come again

Love the wigwam in the winter. Cosy and fun. Great view from the rooftop all year round. Downstairs is great too, the bar staff were friendly enough when I visited.

Beautiful rooftop with an amazing view! Fun venue - the wigwam in the winter is amazing and sitting out in the sun on the roof in summer is even better. Great music and great cocktails (only bad thing is that it is slightly expensive and the rooftop is often booked out).

Closed the rooftop and didn't even let me fetch my bf. Service sucks. Security guards don't hear and don't want 5o hear anything. Music is so-so. Really, there are friendlier places to spend the night.

Came for the first time with a friend who was new to London- the atmosphere was great and we had a lovely evening. The rooftop was fairly busy, yet we were served quickly by the lovely staff. The downstairs wasn't so lively- perhaps because it was a warm day so everyone was on the rooftop? Drinks were typical prices for London, so overall an excellent experience- will definitely visit again!

I have to say, this club made me rethink all my previous prejudices against Shoreditch. Entry is free, drinks are surprisingly fairly priced, and the place is cavernously huge, so there's plenty of space to take a large group of people. The rooftop is fun (much better than another certain overrated roof top club in Kensington...). Definitely give it a go!

Visited for the winter wigwam bam, great rooftop venue on a dry night. Roast meats and open fire for s'mores, wonderful as you over look the city. The bar downstairs and club in the basement is super casual but you will find some people dressed up too. Service can be slow on weekends as it's packed but if you find a spot to sit, it's a great night with dancing in the basement too.

Polite and friendly staff from the security on the door to the guys and gals behind the bar. Where else in London can you have a Hot buttered rum in a wigwam on the roof top then descened to the basement and sing karaoke with a 12 piece gospel choir? I challenge you to find a better night out in London

I went on a Saturday. The upstairs bar was more chilled and was mainly people chatting. Cocktails were nice and quite reasonably priced. Downstairs was playing some great music and there was lots of dancing which I liked. It was a bit grimy though, could use a clean up. Overall I had a top night. Would definitely come again!

This place is tired. Only good thing going for them is the rooftop, I would advise the owners to rebrand, clean it up and turn into a party palace, its seen better years.

Finally had my suspicions confirmed that yes, yes the WigWamBam was awesome. Hot buttered rum? Don't mind if I do

Went on a saturday - got busy by 10ish. Good to have drinks upstairs and then get hectic in the basement club

Bit dingy in the lower basement but like to hang out in the upstairs bar.

This one is one of my favourites. They had a cool event a couple of months ago. A couple of artists painting on big white canvases around the walls. That's the one thing I really enjoy about this place, never fails to bring innovation and creativity into practice.

Amazing roof top! Lively and full of itzchinen santzen. If you want to recharge your life stamina (aka the weird japanese word from before) go ahead and order a bottle of red, take your girlfriends with and sit around the fire. I bet you it works!

Most relaxed rooftop bar in London, the staff are very friendly and there is often something interesting going on like the rooftop cinema. Good atmosphere.

Queen of Hoxton gets a big thumbs up from me! I love this place, its delivers on so many levels, its fun for a sunday chill out drinks and food, it is a full on club affair with great DJs and music at the weekends and through the summer was one of my favourite spots for rooftop drinks. Great place.

I really liked thed rooftop bar, maybe the best in London? I was surprised that a venue like this would have a rooftop bar especially in shoreditch, impressed.
