Rise46 in Clapham Junction, is an independent neighbourhood bar delivering authentic 1920's glitz and glamour with brilliant live music and entertainment throughout the week and DJ's at the weekends. Great care has been taken in the creation of the drinks menu to ensure the best quality tipple, with fresh ingredients at happily affordable prices. Cocktails are delicately crafted with care and affection, and all drinks are served with a friendly smile. As well as the classics, they've added some more unique and exciting cocktails to the menu such as the Sweet Shop section where one can unleash their inner child and indulge in retro sweet cocktails; The Tea Tray Sharers served in delicate china teapots and the Prohibition section containing 1920's themed drinks inspired by the weird and wonderful ways that were once used to conceal alcohol in the prohibition era. A perfect place for cocktail-lovers searching for a new experience. Rise 46 also serves a great range of craft beers and wine!

There is always some form of entertainment on offer at Rise 46. The DJ plays his tunes in the basement bar and the dancefloor gets packed with a fun-time party crowd. Bottomless Bubbles on a Thursday which sees excellent live music, canapes and unlimited Prosecco for the evening! The hotel, room and fantastic breakfasts were outstanding. We were made very welcome & chocolates & some prosecco was left for my birthday! 5 minutes away from the North Line underground & free, easy, safe parking! Well recommended. I held a small gathering of 20 people to celebrate my 30th birthday party at Rise 46 on a Friday night. Unfortunately, after confirming the booking earlier in the week, there was no record of the booking at the venue. However, the bar staff were hugely accommodating and friendly, and made sure there was space for all of us. Overall very successful. Staff were great and everyone in the group enjoyed the venue - good vibe. Only complaint would be that as the night went on it became clear the DJ would be playing the same songs in a cycle which after a while did grind on us, simply would suggest not repeating the same songs! Held my 40th birthday party here and couldn't have asked for more. The staff were so helpful and made the whole process easy and painless..meaning I could just get on and enjoy the party! After reading through the reviews and needing to book a place for my 22nd birthday, the live jazz music and atmosphere at rise46 sounded perfect. After booking management were fast to answer any questions I had. I made it very clear that the main reason I was booking was due to the live jazz band promised, however, I was very disappointed that I was not contacted to be told that they had cancelled. My guests were very much looking forward to this as well and unfortunatelt little done to compensate the group. This meant we left early to go elsewhere. After reading these good reviews I held my birthday party here on the 28th October ......one word...Shambles!!!! Prior to the night the manager Jack was very helpful...the night was a different story.. Arrived at 8pm and was told there was no DJ until 10, bar staff were playing music from their phones, they let me choose a couple of songs but ultimately they controlled what was played (even though the only people in the bar were my guests). The 'DJ' arrived at 10.20 and only played 'Jazz House' my guests and I asked for more commercial music but he refused and said he only had one genre of music and this is what the manager had asked him to play! When I booked I was told the DJ played all genres as I certainly wouldn't have booked somewhere that only plays 'Jazz House' At one point my guests were all sitting down (every hosts worst nightmare)...I spoke to the staff and they told me there was nothing they could do as the manager was not there. They kept offering me 'complimentary drinks'. I refused these and just asked them to solve the issue with the music instead. They eventually got hold of the manager who sacked the DJ (after an hour of enduring 'Jazz House).... Came here for a cocktail masterclass in August 2016. Masterclass was extremely well run and flexible to our whims. We made mojitos, negroni's and espresso martinis and had a great night. Great value, definitely recommended. hcs visited Rise 46 on 04 Aug 2016

I organised a Hen do dinner here and the service was excellent. The booking process was really easy, and they made sure I had everything we needed. We got food through their catering company, which usually has a minimum head count of 10 people, (we were 6), and the organizer was nice enough to find another party for us to join (not physically join but financially!) so that we could still have the food. The canapes were so tasty, we had chicken and steak skewers, sausages and an amazing filo pastry pizza. The serving sizes were huge, we could have at least 2-3 of each. The service was friendly and the cocktails were so good. It's a shame we arrived late and only had 1.5 hours before we had to leave for a show. The place is cozy and had comfortable seats. This is our second time here and again was a great night! We booked a table in advanced and got a lovey area. The cocktails are amazing (2 for 1 before 8 on Friday) so we made the most of that! Staff have always been really lovely and we especially loved Charlotte who brought a fun vibe to our night! Defo recommend :)

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday here by reserving part of the downstairs bar and it was fab. Great cocktails, lovely staff (sorry we stayed until the bitter end and kept you all up!), fab music and space to dance. As a French producer based in London, I had the chance to shoot a music video at Rise46 for a Jazz Trio. I have to say that it was probably the most helpful staff that I had to deal with so far!! Always trying to help us when we needed something, and very discreet when it was necessary. Finally if you're looking to spend a perfect night in a splendid venue with a delicious cocktail served with a smile, don't hesitate Rise46 is the place to go!

I have booked a table for 10 for my Hen Party. We arrived later but were welcomed by manager and staff and showed to our tables downstairs and received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely gesture. Seats were comfortable but music was absolutely fantastic so we we didn't waste any time sitting. We spent the whole night on a dance floor and had a blast like never before. Overall its a great place to be. If I had to find something negative its- the lack of AC- we were hot and sweaty- but it didn't affect our moods!!Awesome Night!! Thank you guys! I reserved an area for 10-15 people for a special birthday, upon booking I was told that I would only have the space until 10pm as it was reserved for someone else after that time. This was a little disappointing, but shows how popular the bar is and the reservations team did tell me straight away that I couldn't have the area for the whole time I wanted. I was offered a bottle of Prosecco (as it was my birthday) although when I arrived I had to ask for this as no one seemed to know that it had been offered. Despite this small mix up we had a great evening and were able to stay all night after all, we were politely asked to move up to make room for the second group who had the tables reserved, but we still kept one table. I reserved an area for 20 people for a special birthday, based on the good reviews on this website, and was told we would be in the main bar where we would have 'more room'. Although we had a great night and the cocktails were fantastic, I have to admit I was disappointed with the venue. Our reserved area was not big enough for 20 people and there were not enough seats for us all. When I queried this with a member of staff, she merely responded that she wasn't the booking manager. I asked if she could perhaps help me by finding more seats, and she went off to do so, but we still didn't end up with enough. At no point had I been warned that there wasn't really enough room for 20 people in this area! Not only were there not enough seats, but our reserved area was right by the entrance so that it was difficult for those without seats to stand without being in the way! Unfortunately I don't live in London so had to take a gamble on my party venue without visiting in person. I went for the unlimited bubbles for £20 deal on a Thursday. We booked a table which was needed as it got pretty busy later in the night. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the deal was excellent value for money. The live music was also good.

Amazing night out at Rise 46 with the bottomless bubbles. Nice comfortable atmosphere with great friendly staff. We were regularly topped with our drinks and popcorn without asking and were pleasantly surprised by the live music. Definitely heading back soon!

Really great night at Rise46. Went on a Wednesday and there was live music downstairs such was excellent. delicious cocktails and nice cosy atmosphere. Went with a group of mates but reckon it would be good for a date. Will definitely return!

If you want a quirky but lively joint to chill and catch up with friends then RISE 46 is the place. The atmosphere is a place where you go in at 5pm and leave leave at 5am and wonder what happened to the time.

Gorgeous little bar & gorgeous cocktails! I booked a table here for my friend's hen do and the service was very friendly, the staff helped us decide what cocktails to have and looked after us the whole evening. DJ played all our requests and we had a great time! I would highly recommend this venue for a night out with friends :-)

I came here for my birthday on a Friday night in June with a group of about 12 people and had a great time!! We reserved a spot downstairs and basically had our own barman taking our orders and serving us drinks all night. The cocktails are AMAZING here! Not only so yummy, they look awesome! Make sure you get the sweet shop cocktails - they look fantastic. Carlotta is an awesome bartender too- so friendly and she makes the best cocktails and makes us want to come back again! This is my favourite bar in Clapham; the only reason I've not given it 5 stars is because of 2 things. A £10/20 tip was added on to my bill at the end of the night without me knowing. As I had great service from the bartenders I didn't mind and am happy to give a tip, but I feel like I should have been asked (maybe it is compulsory for a tab I don't know). And the other is that when booking I was told the live band would start at 8 and the DJ and dancing would be from about 10. Me and my friends turned up just before 8, however the band came on at about 9 and I never even saw a DJ (maybe he came on much later). All in all, I will be sure to come back for another yummy cocktail, thanks Rise 46.

I went to an event at Rise46 on Saturday afternoon - a mad hatters tea party where the entry cost covered prosecco, tea-based cocktails and finger food - and it was a brilliant 3 hours. The staff were incredibly attentive in refilling our drinks constantly, but they also let us have as much fun as we wanted. The cocktails were great. This is a fantastic bar, and well worth becoming a member because the benefits are great.

Great venue. Clean, hip, intimate. I performed at a party and felt very welcome. The staff were a joy to be around and there cocktails are pretty good! Would recommend this venue to anyone looking to hire out a venue or to attend a night that they're putting on :)

Celebrated a joint birthday with my husband (together we turned 70!) so we wanted the night to be super special. We booked the downstairs space for a group of 40 and were not disappointed at all. As usual, the cocktails were fabulous, our guests devoured them! And we were able to bring our own four piece jazz band - staff was extremely helpful in setting them up and they played away without any problems. When we started dancing, the staff even kindly moved the seats and tables off to the side for us. We were very well taken care of the whole night - special touches included a cocktail for both me and my husband at the start of the night, and a sparkler shot at the end of the night. We had a wonderful time and would recommend Rise46 to anyone wanting a truly amazing celebration. Thanks!

I had a cocktail making masterclass for 21 people for my hen party and then had the basement hired out for a mad hatters tea party and cocktails in tea pots. The bar manager Sergito was a fantastic teacher and a lot of fun was had by all. Oz and the staff were amazing letting me plan exactly what I wanted. The only improvements that could possibly have been made were is Sergito had taught us how to make both cocktails in the masterclass (although the lady was lovely and very informative) and if the cocktails in tea pots had arrived more quickly. I would recommend rise 46 to anyone for a private event or a night out ( I have been on a saturday night for cocktails and dancing and really enjoyed myself too). Thank you Rise for such an awesome time!

Went here for my birthday on Friday 27th Feb. We reserved a table which was ready for us when we arrived, and there is a great choice of well made cocktails. We were asked if we wanted to open a tab, which we did, however when we went to pay we were told we weren't able to split the bill over card and cash, as it would be too much effort for the staff to itemize the bill. We weren't asking them to do this, we just wanted to split the total 5 ways, but weren't allowed to, meaning I had to pay for 3 rounds of drinks on my card. If we'd been informed of this at the start, we would have paid as we went! This aside, it was a good evening!

Had a lovely eve at rise 46. Really nice atmosphere- music upstairs not too loud, decorated with pretty fairy lights. We particularly enjoyed the cocktails based on tea flavours- served in teapots and china teacups! And had a good dance downstairs afterwards. Will be sure to return.

I recently went to Rise 46 to celebrate my birthday with some girlfriends. Despite only calling the day before the staff were very accommodating and saved an area for me with a free bottle of prosecco. We all had a really fun night and would definitely go back. I hired this venue for a work Xmas function and had a drink package that was excellent value and was adapted to suit our requirements. Staff were obliging and efficient and the drinks were much appreciated by all. The live music was an added bonus and not so loud to limit conversation. Many commented on how they enjoyed the night. Great venue for small to medium sized groups, I would certainly use again.

I hired out an area for my birthday this year. Although there was a slight mix up with our bookings (when we arrived another party was in our area) the manager was very quick to sort this out and offered us a round on the house whilst we waited. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening - great drinks, atmosphere and music. The manager also sent a very good followup letter the next day apologising for the mix up which was very much appreciated - great customer service. I'd definitely come back for another party and would highly recommend this bar.

Went there on a Friday night. Cocktails were great and staff very friendly. There was live music which was good, although it made it hard to chat, especially downstairs, and there was not much room to stand upstairs without getting in people's way. All in all a very pleasant evening though.

I celebrated my 21st here and it was by far one of the best nights of my life. The staff were so lovely at helping me book an area - even though I had left everything quite late in terms of booking they were so kind and helpful in accommodating myseld and my friends. The ambience at the bar itself is beautiful, it's on a lovely area of Clapham where the atmosphere isn't too crazy but just the right level for a good night out. The drinks are a little pricey but delicious! The DJ was great and everyone really enjoyed the music - there isn't loads of dance space but that definitely didn't stop at one! I would really recommend this place, whether it be for a special occasion or just for a great night out on the town. I'm sure I'll definitely be returning (there are so many more cocktails on the menu that I need to try!) Thanks for a great night, Rise 46 :)

I celebrated my birthday here this past weekend and the staff have been in contact with all the details prior to the event organising a cocktail masterclass, drinks and canapés. It went smoothly on the evening and the bar staff were friendly and attentive. My friends had a great time,they commented on the place and we look forward to coming back again.

I like the venue, but given we brought in a lot of custom on the night the staff weren't very attentive or there wasn't enough people working. I also need to follow up to get my deposit back. The girl band playing weren't very good.

I was in Rise 46 tonight and I was pretty shocked by the behaviour of the staff. I came to see my friend who was performing and he did not get *Comment Moderated*. The staff was really rude to him and to me. I was going to order a drink at the bar and a waitress came to me saying she will take order from me but it took me about 45 mn to get served (when the bar was pretty empty yet). Very disapointing service and place.

I had my birthday here last month and it was a brilliant night. The booking manager was so helpful in the lead-up, answering any questions I had. We had half of the area downstairs and it was the perfect size for my group of 35-40 guests, small enough to keep everyone together but not at all cramped. Cocktails also delicious! It did get very hot downstairs, but this wasn't a huge problem. Thank you!

Had a great night at Rise46 on Friday! Friendly staff, lovely 'private' area and a great mixture of cocktails to choose from - most I've never had before! Will definitely be returning to have them again though! Thank you for a great time!!

I booked a table and our group of ten had a fantastic evening with excellent service, outstanding cocktails (along with scrummy popcorn & sweeties!) and super ambiance. We could hear the live music downstairs (very talented) but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves talk. It was a fun evening and we're sure to do it all again! Thank you Rise 46 :-)

Great place with some great cocktails. The atmosphere makes it a perfect place for a date night and it isn't too noisy so you can enjoy a conversation. All of the cocktails are made by hand which is ideal - the only downside to this is that it takes a while to get drinks when it's busy. If table-service was introduced, this would be the perfect cocktail bar.

Great, cosy atmosphere and very tasty cocktails. Staff were friendly and music was also great. My only complaint is that the whole place was far too hot, and it was end of September.

I had my birthday party here last weekend, and i have to say its been the best party ever! The decor is gorgeous - really gets you in the prohibition mood, and the cocktails are delicious (if you're a fellow fan of rum, there's a whole page dedicated to us!) All the staff were very friendly, and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great time. i could not have asked for more. Thank you!

Lovely venue, cozy feel, great drinks and music. We went here one Thursday summers evening and the front was opened up giving a great airy feel. We then went down stairs for live Jazz. Perfect place for a few drinks with friends.

I love this place. Had my birthday celebrations here in October and was the perfect venue, a live band to start the evening followed by a dj until late with a great atmosphere, amazing cocktails and really helpful management. My friend loved it so much she had her 30th celebrations here too! This place is a must if you are planning a night out in Clapham.

Great bar, perfect setting for summer drinks when the windows are open. A lively atmosphere late in the evening, staff are friendly and a good selection of drinks. Would definitely recommend.

I have my birthday here last year which was prohibition themed. It was such a great night and the cocktails were out of this world. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a good fun night out - Great gatsby eat your heart out!

A friend introduced me to Rise 46 and we have been going back there ever since for the Cookies and Cream as a nightcap. The prohibition cocktails are great fun, all served with some kind of candy or cookie. The atmosphere is really good, the silent movies playing in the back ground really give it an air of a 1920's bar, as do the crowds who tend to dress up on a Friday or Saturday night. If you have a Friends of the Rise card the 20% off Monday to Friday really makes it a value night out. The bathrooms are also really nice - a must for a girls night out. All in all this is a great bar that I will return to time and time again.

My friend invited me here for a night out, the staff were incredibly friendly and the bar has a really nice vibe. If you pick up a Friends of Rise card, it makes the night very reasonable indeed.

My favourite haunt in Clapham. This quirky little bar has been through several owners and reincarnations in the last ten years but never fails to excite and delight. The stylish cocktail bar upstairs is cosy but chic with a trendy crowd and decent drinks. Downstairs is a small, intimate affair with either a DJ spinning disco or old school choons or excellent live music - both of which create the feeling of a private party in your own living room. Definitely my bar of choice!

Pleasantly surprised by this bar. Great drinks and service. Fabulous decor and vibe! I booked an area for 7 upstairs where we could chat then later on we even had a dance down stairs. I would definitely recommend this bar!

I booked an area downstairs for my 30th birthday and it was perfect. We had a great spot with great 20's style music to begin but I could still chat to everyone. As the night went on the music got more louder and we could have a dance. It was the perfect combination of relaxed talk with a bit of a party. The cocktail list was brilliant and I worked my way through most of it, all equally as delicious as the rest! Everyone commented on it being a great pick and I very much agreed.

What's not to like - an amazing cocktail list, extensive beer selection, chilled atmosphere and great music. Plus the staff are really friendly and it draws a nice crowd. What more could you ask for?

Can't recommend Rise 46 enough, with it being the venue that never disappoints. With an extensive beer (great Belgium selction) and cocktail lists there is something for everyone. With live music during the week and a DJ on the weekend they really do cater for all needs. Most importantly the staff and management are truly welcoming making the whole evening a good experience. Will definatley be visiting again soon.

Rise 46 has a winning combination of great service, brilliant music and cool customers. The manager is really friendly and introduces himself personally to newcomers to the neighbourhood! I had an espresso martini last time I was there and it was delicious. Downstairs the DJ always plays good music, making me feel like i'm 19 again and there's a little hole in the wall style bar downstairs too. I like the 1920s theme too - it's classy. Perfect location for a night out in Clapham Junction. Give it a go!

Outstanding bar, a huge cocktail menu filled with delightful and exciting treats and the classics. Always a superb crowd of people, classy, buzzing and a great atmosphere. Cocktails to start with before heading downstairs where the tunes flow and the dancing goes on long into the night! An epic night is always guaranteed!

Since being introduced to Rise 46 last year it has become a favourite haunt of mine! The swanky bar has a great vibe to it and from my experiences, attracts a trendy crowd of people! The extensive cocktail list is impressive in its own right but I also like to see that the bar staff are consistently coming up with new ideas for drinks. My guilty pleasure had to be their special Easter Egg cocktail back in April. Whether there's live music on or you're just enjoying the ambiance Rise is somewhere you can go any night of the week!

If you want an amazing cocktails with a twist you are at home at Rise 46. None of the bland cocktails you find in your so called main stream cocktail bars in the area. The friendly staff in here will take time to find the right cocktail for you and most of the times it's is more science then cocktail making. I can only recommend this place...great drinks, great staff, great did and live music and it's open till 2! What else do you need?

Really good cocktails enjoyed by my friends, my girlfriend spoke highly of the wine menu, but personally I loved the selection of beers - the best in the area I would say. The ambiance is great with lovely decor and the DJ in the prohibition-feel basement is really good and goes on until about 2am at weekends! Well worth a visit in the week for the live music or at the weekend for a bigger night.

been to some pretty cool places in Clapham recently and this place's cocktails really sets the bar high. Had so much trouble choosing - everything was amazing. Definitely going back to try the rest!

Welcome addition to the clapham bar scene, another speakeasy style bar! Much better than freida b, went here with a mixed group and we really enjoyed it, attentive staff, good cocktails and the sort of party music that keeps all of the group happy.
