Standing in the gym and who walks past you? Oh the girl your ex cheated on you with. There she is looking all kinds of incredible with a full face of makeup and nothing but tight leggings and a sports bra on and then there\u2019s you. A sweaty pumpkin in an old baggy tee.<\/p>\n

But what do you care? That was years ago and you\u2019re a strong, independent woman who don\u2019t need no man! She can sit and stare at you all you want but you don\u2019t feel awkward – you feel powerful!<\/p>\n

All jokes aside though, the one thing that going through heartbreak has taught me is that he may have felt like your entire world at the time, but now he\u2019s nothing but a memory – and I\u2019m okay with that.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve had some hard lessons in life but they\u2019ve taught me some valuables things.<\/p>\n

1. Put yourself first<\/h2>\n

No one has got your back quite like you.<\/p>\n

2. Stick to the facts<\/h2>\n

People will talk until the cows come home but is there really any truth to what they\u2019re saying?<\/p>\n

3. Believe in yourself<\/h2>\n

Don\u2019t ever let anyone put you down!<\/p>\n

4. You get what you give<\/h2>\n

You have to put the effort in to get anything back<\/p>\n

5. If a door shuts, another will open<\/h2>\n

Just because something has ended doesn\u2019t mean something better won\u2019t come along<\/p>\n

6. Life goes on<\/h2>\n

No matter what happens, you will be okay<\/p>\n

7. Life is unpredictable<\/h2>\n

You never know what is going to happen, appreciate each day as it comes<\/p>\n

8. Don\u2019t be scared to get hurt<\/h2>\n

Some of the best times of your life will come from your other half no matter how long it lasts<\/p>\n

9. It\u2019s okay to be sad<\/h2>\n

you have to feel what you feel! It\u2019s okay to not be okay<\/p>\n

10. Learn to let go<\/h2>\n

Let go of the things that no longer make you happy and make room for what will<\/p>\n
