We asked DesignMyNight for the best pop-up cinemas taking place across London this winter; from Home Alone<\/em> in a Narnia-themed wonderland through to the UK\u2019s highest cinema.<\/p>\n

Pop-Up Screens<\/a><\/h3>\n

Who hasn\u2019t opened their wardrobe and felt a little disappointed? While Pop-Up Screens can\u2019t help you with your outfit choices (leave that to boohoo), they can make your childhood fantasies come true. Step through the wardrobe doors and enter a gorgeous snow-covered Narnia as Hackney Showroom is transformed. When it comes to the film selection, the pop-up cinema is covering every base with screenings right up until Christmas Eve. Expect the likes of Love Actually<\/em>, Sleepless in Seattle<\/em> and Harry Potter and the Philosopher\u2019s Stone<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Take your Christmas-movie-watching to the next level, quite literally, as the The Travelling Film Show boasts the UK\u2019s highest cinema. Located on the 69th floor of the iconic Shard, the night begins with a complimentary Grey Goose cocktail while ogling at the incredible view of the London skyline, before sitting down for two classics. Choose between the equally heartwarming Miracle on 34th Street<\/em> or Scrooge (A Christmas Carol)<\/em>; bring a tissue because these bad boys are weepies.<\/p>\n

Backyard Cinema<\/a><\/h3>\n

Backyard Cinema are pros when it comes to creating immersive film screenings, with past pop-ups including jungle-style Lost World and zombie-filled Apocalypse. They\u2019re such pros that this year they\u2019ve decided to double their festive outpourings with two themed cinemas. Part of Clapham\u2019s Winterville, The Winter Night Garden is Narnia-esque, with a wardrobe, a tunnel of fairy-lit trees and an enchanted forest setting for the cinema. If you want something a little cooler, The Snow Kingdom is sub-zero cold; head to Borough for an ice tunnel, potion cocktails, and date-perfect bean bags to snuggle up on.<\/p>\n

Film and Fizz<\/a><\/h3>\n

Not your average popcorn-kernel-covered local cinema, Curzon in central London has luxury stamped all over it, from the Italian-leather seats through to the HD screen. Located in swanky One Aldwych, the spot is keeping it classic this festive period with films such as White Christmas and Murder on the Orient Express. At \u00a362, tickets aren\u2019t the cheapest option, but where else can you enjoy Champagne and popcorn during the screening, followed by a three-course, slap-up dinner at the Indigo restaurant?<\/p>\n

The Berkeley<\/a><\/h3>\n

You have to be quick to snap up a ticket for uber snazzy The Berkeley\u2019s private cinema, with only eight seats for each screening. But what seats they are; located high above Knightsbridge and Belgravia, the open-air cinema includes tiny wooden cabins with fluffy white throws, hot-water bottles and fleecy snug rugs. During December, screenings alternate between Elf <\/em>and Miracle on 34th Street<\/em>, all served with mulled wine, hot chocolate with whipped cream, and mince pies.<\/p>\n
