Over time more and more skin has been exposed and we love it! Nothing is more empowering than owning your body! We’re going to be taking inspiration by picking out our ultimate favourite trends from the decades.<\/p>\n

1900’s<\/span>:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The years of don’ts: don’t wear anything tight, \u00a0don’t give the wrong impression and don’t for heavens sake try to show your knees! Ladies wore coats to cover their already covered bodies before getting in the water and getting out. I’ve always wanted to just tan my face and hands.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However i<\/span>f you do fancy a little modesty we’ve taken inspiration by looking at some of our favourite beach cover-ups.<\/p>\n

1920’s\/30’s:\u00a0<\/b>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The knees were exposed in the 20’s creating a whole new sense of freedom. And on came the backless swimsuits in the 30’s. This new step forward in fashion and skin exposure certainly created a surge in body confidence, something we can all support!<\/p>\n

We love a bold one piece especially on action holidays full of water-sports and mischief…<\/p>\n

1940’s\/50’s:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

This was a time predominantly all about high waisted \u00a0everything and bikini’s and\u00a0swimsuits\u00a0were no exception. Adorned with scallop trim, peplum frills and halter necklines these styles were guaranteed to flatter your assets. Hooray for curves!<\/p>\n

This style is easy to replicate and these boohoo favourites look like they were stolen straight from the fifties.<\/p>\n

It was official modesty was out and liberation was in. No restrictions meant that designers were able to experiment with styles, where all skin was on show. Waistlines got lower and bikini cuts got higher – perfect\u00a0opportunities for a good #thighbrow<\/b> shot<\/p>\n

This style was all the range last summer with some of our fav celebs sporting the look.<\/p>\n
