It’s that time of the week again! The sun is shining, the waves are crashing on the shore, and we’ve got the perfect playlist for your weekend getaway (or weekend stay-cation!)

1. Our new favorite this week comes from Lorde’s highly-anticipated album, Melodrama, dropping June 16th. “Perfect Places” is the perfect sing-your-heart-out-in-the-car track. As the 20 year old New Zealander chants, we’ll “blow our brains out to the radio.” Not literally… but you get the point. 

Pro-tip: Lorde just announced a bucketful of new tour dates. 

2. Another one of my favorite weekend activities: Kissing Strangers. DNCE’s new collaboration with Nicki Minaj bumps with a cool summer breeze. The infectious chorus hypnotizes you as the fresh foursome whines, “Na na na na na na na na / ‘Til I find someone I love.” This anthem is a must-have at any kickback this weekend.

3. The final song we’re drooling over this weekend is “Right Now” by Haim. Their new hymn is the perfect shoulder to cry on if you’re going through a breakup, but it’s also somehow a jam. The song reflects: “Gave you my love, thought I could trust you / You let me down at every turn.” Yikes. We’ve all been there, right? Feel all the feelings.
