It’s time to grab your popcorn again guys, because here’s part two of the ultimate, bingetastic, can’t-live-without film list…

1. Moulin Rouge

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

It was pretty difficult to choose just one film by Baz Lurhmann, but Moulin Rouge comes out top for me. Starring Ewan McGregor as the romantic writer (we can relate) in post-revolutionary Paris, this film has an incredible soundtrack with amazing cinematography and backdrops.

2. Mean Girls

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

Perhaps the most quotable film of all time, Mean Girls quickly became iconic in the world of chick flicks upon its release. ‘She doesn’t even go here’, ‘You can sit with us’ and ‘You go Glen Coco’ have become part of the everyday vocabulary for every 20 something year old. But the sequel belongs in the Burn Book.

3. The Theory of Everything

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

Eddie Redmayne gives a pretty stellar performance as Professor Stephen Hawking in this biopic, and that alone makes this worth watching.

4. The Notebook

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

The only rom-com that has ever made me cry (both ugly and hysterically), this is a tale of true love that won’t make you want to vomit into your own hands.

5. The Bodyguard

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

A must watch for every Whitney fan and starring a spicy young Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard has an epic soundtrack, plotline and leading lady.

6. Slumdog Millionaire

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

I love everything about this film. An inspiring story line with a cast of incredible actors makes this one of the most successful films of all time for good reason. Stop everything you’re doing and watch this now if you haven’t already.

7. Trainspotting

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

Based off Irvine Welsh’ novel of the same title, this film follows the lives of various drug addicts and their lives in Glasgow. One of my all time favourite’s and with the sequel being released next week, it’s time to watch this classic if you haven’t already.

8. Clueless

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

Plaid wasn’t significant until this movie was released. Cher and Stacey are the ultimate style babes of the 90’s and it’s easy to see why. Anyone who manages to use a famous painting as an insult gets a thumbs up from me.

9. Mrs Doubtfire

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

Right in the childhood. Probably one of the funniest films I’ve ever seen, this is comedy gold with a simple plotline and a beautiful message. We all wanted Mrs Doubtfire as a nanny.

10. Bridget Jones’ Diary

10 Films You Need To See Pt. 2

The spirit animal of every twenty-something city girl, Bridget showed us that you can navigate these troubling times with a good set of mates and a helluva lot of wine. You might even end up bagging yourself a Colin Firth who loves you just the way you are.
